I have had my white EEEPc 1000HA for about one month. During this time there have no issues with it. The performance with Win XP has been excellent. With the memory upgraded to 2gb web browsing, email, some light weight MS Word and Excel usage is fast enough for all but the most demanding. For the $400 spent it would be unreasonable to expect more. Battery life has been around 4 hours (I do not dim the screen or slow the processor). This is my second EEE PC; I purchased a 4G when they first came out. The difference is like night and day. The 1000HA is far more usable with its larger screen and keyboard and the storage space with the 160gb hard drive has really come in handy. Asus partitions the drive into a ~70gb XP partition and ~60gb empty partition. This provided enough space to install OS X 10.5.5 on the second partition making my 1000HA a functional macbook clone. The audio with OS X is still giving me problems and I had to install a BCM94321MC wireless mini card to get the wireless networking to work but the performance as a mac is quite good. The complaints about the mouse buttons are valid -- so use a wireless mouse (I hate track pads anyway). Also opt for white over black as the white keys with black lettering is far more visible in dim lighting (put an Apple sticker over the EEE logo on a white one and tell people that your EEE is a prototype Mac netbook) :) Ha :) If you are looking for a light ultra portable versatile and easily upgradable notebook the EEE PC 1000HA is the one to choose.Get more detail about ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel ATOM N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB E-Storage, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony.
