The Eee pc 1000ha is a real nice laptop/netbook. Its light and small which makes it very portable. The keys have a nice feel and reaction. After plugging it in and making sure it runs I turned it off and upgraded the memory to 2Gb. It only has one memory slot so you need to remove the 1Gb memory card. The slot was real easy to get to. It comes with microsoft works but I put [...] 3 on it and that runs fine. I also added firefox. The small screen is very easy to get used to.

Pros:
Its light and small.
6 cell Battery - from my estimate I get about 5 to 6 hours of battery life. Some netbooks only have a 4 cell battery which I've heard only gives about 2 to 3 hours of battery life.
Lots of USB ports.
Flash memory slot - there is a flash memory slot that can take many kinds of flash memory. You don't need to connect a usb cable from your camera to your computer just pull out the memory card and stick it in the eee pc.
Built in wifi 802.11b/g and wired ethernet.
Video - the Eee pc normally does 1024x600 but it can do 1024 by 768. If you set it to this mode the LCD can't show you the whole desktop at one time. It will have some of the desktop out of view and you will need to force your mouse around the desktop.
External VGA jack - You can plug it into an external monitor or LCD TV if you have a VGA cable and should be able to get 1024x768 the max video the Eee pc 1000ha can do.

Cons:
The right Shift key is in an unusual place which makes it awkward for someone that types from the home keys.
The speakers are the worst part of the Eee pc 1000ha, they sound bad and don't get very loud. If you plug in headphones though the sound is good.
The webcam is disabled by default. You need to go into the bios and enable it. The only programs I found for using the webcam are skype and windows movie maker. I didn't want have to use the windows media format so I did some searching and found a program called deput video capture it allows you to capture video and still shots from a webcam and you can save in several different formats.
If you buy a netbook like the Eee pc 1000ha you get no CD or DVD drive you need to plan for this. No watching movies on physical DVDs. Also the system restore disc is a DVD drive so if you need to upgrade the harddrive or restore because of a harddrive failure you will need to barrow an external USB DVD drive or buy one.
My last gripe would be the touch pad. I don't like them much in the first place but I am starting to get used to it more now. The right and left buttons on the touch pad are real hard to push.

I would recommend this notebook/netbook to anyone who wants a light portable computer. It has plenty of power for internet, word processing and general everyday use.
