ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel ATOM N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB E-Storage, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony

I was looking for a small and light laptop. I could use my mother in law eee pc 901 for 2 weeks and I realized that an eee pc was what I need.

Pros:
-The 10 inch screen is the perfect size for an ultra portable PC. It really make a difference when you compare the 1000HA with the 901.
-The keyboard is bigger and better than the 901, but the right Shift Key is still painful.
-Getting the Hard drive with 160 Gb is really a plus, you don't run out of space. You lost a little of speed when you compare it with the 901 and her 20 Gb solid state disk, but the extra space worth it.
-I don't need the 802.11n and the bluetooth, so I prefer to get this model than the the one that have this features.
-It is really easy to upgrade the memory.

Cons:
-The Right shift Key

Other thoughts:
If you really need a DVD Drive, you have 3 options:
1) Buy an external one. Cons: You lost in mobility.
2) If you have a network in your house or work place, just share your Desktop DVD drive. Cons: almost anyone in the network could access your DVD drive.
3) Install a Virtual DVD Drive emulator on your eee pc (there are a couple free on the internet), and now you can open an ISO image of your DVD. Cons: you have to make an ISO copy of any DVD that you want to open and copy it to your eee pc.
