The Asus Eee PC 1000HA Netbook was purchased after Christmas and has worked well since. As board secretary-treasurer, I use it to present data and to record the board meeting minutes. The keyboard works well except for the misplaced right shift key. I use a wireless outboard mouse. My software programs are MS Word 2003 and Excel 2003 which loaded easily from a LiteOn 20x Dvd device. My antivirus program is the Vipre which was chosen because of its low energy requirement. With this setup, I can easily get 4 1/2 hours of work done with battery power.
Amazon delivered the netbook within 4 days of online purchase. Most of my online purchases are from Amazon. I want to thank my brother Rocky for recommending that I purchase the Asus Eee PC 1000HA. Rocky is a doctor who teaches in the University of Texas Medical School system and builds computers as a hobby (therapy). His computers are usually made from Asus components.
