This netbook has great battery life; I get around 5-6 hours with WiFi on. The screen is big enough to play some games and browse the net easily, and plenty bright. I generally leave the brightness way down from its default setting. The speakers are good considering the product's size. It's comfortable to leave on the lap because it doesn't get all that hot under extended use. I have found the touchpad to be well-designed, and I appreciate its multi-touch features. However, the scrolling does not work properly in Firefox, and often the touchpad will confuse scrolling with zooming, and middle-click tapping with scrolling. It takes some getting used to but overall it's great for the size.
When I first received the netbook, the screen had obvious defects in the form of discolored vertical stripes near the middle of the screen. Over the course of a week, they went away completely so I didn't have to get a replacement and reinstall everything.
I am a a little disappointed with the quality of the keyboard. The 'X' key pops off when I tap it off-center. For now it doesn't happen often, but I'm afraid I will lose the key sometime in the future.
Overall this is a sleek little netbook that turns heads and has more stamina than I do. I was really considering getting a Samsung NC-10 instead, but I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money.Get more detail about ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel ATOM N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB E-Storage, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony.
