really enjoy eee 1000ha.. it is easy to set up.. i have all the eee's from 7" on up... what makes this different:
a) regular hard-drive rather than flash drive.. but it is
still very quick on-off.. i suggest updating windows at
the beginning.. and then choosing to update as desired
or not-automatically...
b) keyboard is sturdier.. and nearly full-size....
c) love the display button switch.. between keyboard and
screen.. essentially one-click between screen
resolutions.. great for someone with poor eyesight...
but really desired for quick hook-up to external
monitor and of course with keyboard.. it works great
d) very quick right out of the box... of course i have
only one gig data on 2 logical partitions of approx 78
gig..
e) have tried linux and xp versions.. prefer linux but my
rep in nc preferred windows...
f) what is also cool.. has powerpoint 07 as an installed
program.. i got rid of works and went with open office.
wonderful machine.....
e) added 2g memory for about $35.... need to click F2 to
hit bios.. so bios sees memory first, then device mgr.Get more detail about ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel ATOM N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB E-Storage, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony.
